In the evening on 15 January 2017, Prof. Dennis Lo Yuk-ming (Fellow of S.H. Ho College), Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Medicine and Chairman, Department of Chemical Pathology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, attended the inaugural Future Science Prize Award Ceremony at the 2017 Future Forum in Beijing. Prof. Lo has been awarded Future Science Prize-Life Science Prize.

In his thank-you speech, Prof. Lo expressed that it was an honour for him to be selected by the Future Science Prize among many outstanding scientists in China. “I have met lots of kind-hearted mentors.” Prof. Lo said, “The testing work of DNA has inspired me endlessly which enables me to take a step further in the research field.”
