We are delighted to share that Justin Xin, a Year 4 student in Government and Public Administration, a member of S.H. Ho College, and an awardee of the 2025 Mr. and Mrs. John Lo Scholarship for Education, Law and Social Science Students, was selected to address new students at the University’s Inauguration Ceremony.

In his speech, Justin reflected on how dialogue has shaped his university journey — through participating in debate and Model United Nations, mentoring younger students, studying abroad as an exchange student at the University of Pennsylvania, and volunteering in Hong Kong.

He also spoke about his experience in fundraising for refugees through a collaboration between a local NGO and S.H. Ho College. Through this initiative, he connected with people whose lives and challenges differed greatly from his own. The experience inspired him to look beyond himself, listen with greater empathy, and consider how the knowledge and opportunities gained at university can be used to serve others. Drawing on his own journey at CUHK, Justin encouraged new students to step beyond the classroom, engage with people from diverse background, remain curious and embrace every success and failure.

As he shared with his fellow students, university is not simply about achievements but about exchanging ideas and learning from others, from ourselves and growing into who we aspire to be. Congratulations to Justin Xin for representing S.H. Ho College as a student speaker at CUHK’s Inauguration Ceremony. We are proud to see him welcoming and inspiring a new generation of students!

跑Runner Force 好辛苦？？？不如聽下參加咗summer training的學員Po 點講？？✍️✍️

係第一次去runnerforce 之前，一直對呢個地方有啲好奇，但又有啲怕自己能力不足，怕呢個地方係for一啲本身玩開跑步，輕輕鬆鬆跑個全馬嘅人🤡

但身邊玩過嘅人一直都話runnerforce歡迎所有程度嘅同學，直至我親身落去上第一堂先感受到呢句說話嘅意思。Eddie sir 同Emery 會根據每個同學嘅運動背景及體能安排訓練，無論係慢跑、快走去到衝圈，總係可以去到練到野但未死嘅程度🙂‍↕️

Runnerforce 嘅大家都好supportive，大家喺跑道上都有自己嘅pacing，但熱身cooldown總會一齊吹水，呻吓今日天氣🥵🌡️講吓呢排近況，又好似使得跑步呢個運動無咁孤獨
