Social Services in Uganda 2025

7 July 2025

Students of S.H. Ho College first visited the east African country of Uganda in 2011 so as to support social services for local women and children. A team of 12 students from the College, along with Master Mok and a staff member, visited Uganda from June 8 to 22 this year. The team visited the children village and community centres of social service organisation Watoto to learn about livelihoods in the country, and met with families living in slums to give out supplies. The team also went to three schools in Uganda to encourage their students in their studies through interactive activities, and painted walls in another school to improve the learning environment. Members of the team have gained insights on global issues like poverty and gender inequality, and had deep reflections witnessing the way of life in the country.
