Mr. Adam Mak Wins Gold at the 11th Asian Age Group Championships – Swimming

The 11th Asian Age Group Championships – Swimming took place in the Philippines from 26 to 29 February, 2024. Representing the Hong Kong team, Mr. Adam Mak, a student of the College, achieved outstanding results again.

Adam first broke the Hong Kong record and won the gold medal in the 100-metre breaststroke final in the men’s 15-17 years old category, with a time of 1 minute 00.95 seconds. He then went on to win the silver medal in the 50-metre breaststroke, and finally competed in the 200-metre breaststroke final, where he claimed the championship with a time of 2 minutes 11.20 seconds. Not only did he break the Hong Kong record, but he also improved his own record by 0.09 seconds.

In the relay event, Adam and his three teammates competed in the mixed 15-17 years old category in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay final. They set a new meet record with a time of 3 minutes 57.58 seconds, winning the gold medal and achieving an impressive performance.
