Congratulations, Prof. Dennis Lo!

The College would like to extend its warmest congratulations to Prof. Dennis Lo on his appointment as the ninth Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK for a period of five years from 8 January, 2025.
Prof. Dennis Lo is a founding fellow of the College. The foundation work of the College was laid by the founding fellows, who have witnessed its milestones over the years. The College is honoured to have Prof. Lo as a founding fellow. His unique Oxbridge background has provided him with a deep understanding of the collegiate system. Together with his professional expertise, he has significantly contributed to shaping the College into what it is today.
Prof. Dennis Lo is globally renowned as a pioneer, innovator and leader in liquid biopsy, and is known as the “father of non-invasive prenatal testing”. He is the Director of the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences, the Li Ka Shing Professor of Medicine and Professor of Chemical pathology of CUHK. He is also the Associate Dean (Research) of CUHK Faculty of Medicine. In recognition of his work, Prof. Lo has received numerous international honours and awards.
The College looks forward to the vision and leadership that Prof. Lo will bring to CUHK, which will advance the University’s missions in education and research.
