Visit to SAGE Madam Ho Sin Hang Home for the Elderly and a Dream Day with the “Cheer Up Buddies” Service Team

On 3 December, 2023, a heart-warming Christmas party was held at SAGE Madam Ho Sin Hang Home for the Elderly. In the event, eight College students featured a variety of interactive games, as well as singing and dancing performances, and evoking fond memories of the 70’s for the elderly. They also dressed up as Santa Claus to create an atmosphere of warmth and holiday delight.
Another meaningful event took place before the Christmas party on 16 October 2023. With clear skies and a hint of autumn, 10 elderly residents from the Sage Madam Ho Sin Hang Home for the Elderly arrived at S.H. Ho College to attend “classes” at the University. College students took on the role of teachers, putting their hearts and minds into preparing fascinating and enjoyable classes for these senior yet spirited “students”. The classes included general knowledge, music and movement, and home economics dessert making. After completing their classes, the elderly could then graduate! They put on College gowns and proceeded to the beautiful “Pavilion of Harmony” to capture precious graduation photos. Against the backdrop of the picturesque scenery, each fresh graduate appeared radiant, brimming with joy and excitement.
