Reunion of Recipients of Dr. and Madam Tzu-leung Ho Scholarships for Distinguished Medical Students

All the recipients express their delights to return Home and their gratitude towards Dr. Ho and the College.

With the generous donations from Dr. and Madam Tzu-leung Ho, S.H. Ho College offers a scholarship up to $600,000 to one distinguished medical student each year, covering their tuition fees from entry to graduation year. Since its first presentation in 2010, it is already the 13th year anniversary of the scholarship. As the pandemic situation relaxes, the College held a reunion gathering at Connexion, the College’s staff common room, on the evening of December 16, 2022 for all the recipients of Dr. and Madam Tzu-leung Ho Scholarships for Distinguished Medical Students. College members who have witnessed the growth of the recipients from students to medical practitioners, including Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Prof. Simon Ng and Prof. Philip Chiu also attended the event.

Dr. Tzu-leung Ho kicked off the evening with his welcome speech, followed by a speech from College Master Prof. Vincent Mok. The first recipient Dr. Julianna Chan shared her journey from being the first recipient and also the first cohort of S.H. Ho College, to becoming a medical doctor now. The latest recipient of 2022, Mr. Jason Cheung, shared his reflections as a recipient and his life at the College. All the recipients also took this opportunity to express their gratitude towards Dr. Ho and the College for the support of all these years. Those who are still undergraduates grasped this chance to learn from their senior fellows.
