Chinese Lantern Festival Lunch

The College held Chinese Lantern Festival Lunch at staff common room Connexion on 3 February, 2023. About 40 College members and staff members participated in this annual event. In Chinese tradition, Lantern Festival is a day when family and friends celebrate their reunion and love together.

Prof. Vincent Mok, Master of S.H. Ho College, welcomed the College members at the start of the event, and presented Long Service Awards to two members, namely Prof. Amy Ha and Dr. Kenneth Li, for their contributions and commitments to the College over 10 years. Then, Prof. Kwan Kin Ming, Chairman of S.H. Ho College Scholarships, Awards, Financial Aids and Grants Committee, introduced Professional Teaching Grants, which is a new benefit to College members. The grant is set up to recognise College members who have considerable contribution, and to encourage members on academic pursuit, research, publication in regional and international scale, course attendance and learning for professoriate and lecturer grades.

In the game session, College members and staff members were divided into four teams. Each team accumulated scores for their own in order to win the prizes. After playing games, the participants chit-chatted and enjoyed a warm family gathering over lunch at Home.

One of the games is to peel clementines and see who is the fastest.
