昨晚，書院合唱團 @shhochoir 於高桌晚宴為大家領唱了混聲四部的院歌，以及帶來了香港作曲家譚天樂先生的作品——信任彩虹。
以下為作曲家親自撰寫的介紹
「你見過彩虹嗎？
彩虹於不同的神話及宗教中，都有著不同的象徵意義。例如，是上帝跟挪亞及他的子孫所立的約，可以是希望，可以是永恆，可以是和平，彩虹的盡頭又或是寶藏的所在。但無論如何，七色彩虹永遠都是正能量的象徵。
2020年，香港面對著前所未有的衝擊，在這個每日來去匆匆，壓力「爆煲」，前景未明的大都市，你我或許會遇上不少挫折。
請相信彩虹，因為風雨過後必有天晴。
《信任彩虹》沒什麼大智慧、大學問，但每次唱起都有令我想哭的感覺。」

Last night, S. H. Ho Choir led the college anthem in four parts (SATB) at the high table dinner. They also performed a piece by Hong Kong composer Mr. Tam Tin Lok — “Trusting the Rainbow.“
Composer’s Notes
Have you ever seen a rainbow?
The rainbow has different symbols and meanings from various myths and religions. For example, the rainbow marks God’s covenant to Noah and his descendants, it also embodies hope, eternity, and peace. The end of the rainbow could also direct us to find hidden treasure. Nevertheless, the rainbow always carries positive energy.
In 2020, Hong Kong faced unprecedented challenges, everyday went by in a hurry, the pressure reached a boiling point, and the city was filled with uncertainty for the future, everyone encountered countless setbacks.
In such difficult times, please trust the rainbow, because after the storms, the skies will clear.
“Trusting the Rainbow” does not carry any profound wisdom, but I am deeply touched whenever the piece is sung.

The long-awaited S.H.Ho College Choir is finally here😍 As we concluded our debut performance at the High Table Dinner👏🏻, we will also start our open recruitment🤩

We welcome ALL CUHK undergraduates✅ so don't worry even if you have no prior experience in a choir🎤!

We will be holding an audition to hear your beautiful voices, as well as to get to know you better🔎
